Sustainability Innovation Challenge Kingston University is hosting a programme of events launching mid-September, showcasing Lightning Talks from our prestigious alumni community during October and culminating in a Hackathon for students in November. Each speaker will address, in just 15 minutes, what they are doing about sustainability and what they think still needs to be done. Our speaker for this Lightning Talk is Oriele Frank from Elemis UK :"A winning British brand’s journey to sustainability" - When Oriele Frank left Kingston University after completing her BA (Hons) Business Studies with French, little did she know that 30 years later she would be picking up an award as the winner of BEST BRITISH BEAUTY BRAND (CEW) 2021. However, never standing still, her new mission is to turn this successful global heritage brand to be the most sustainable premium British Skincare Brand by 2025. Her talk will give some insight into what needs to change and actions the company is taking. As one of the Elemis Co-founders, Oriele has fast become an industry expert in brand, new product concept, design, packaging and visual merchandising. Oriele is on the Board of Directors at Elemis, working on elevating the sustainability and CSR vision for the brand globally. Join us in this series of events to inspire students and encourage them to see themselves as active agents in sustainability.
