As part of our series of events linked to the Bright Ideas Programme, we are pleased to launch our 5th Fast-track weekend and 8-week course.
The Bright Ideas Fast-track is for anyone at the advanced stages of researching an idea, or at the beginning stages of trading. The weekend and the following 8-week course has been designed to help you with a faster route to market, introduce you to programmes that can help you develop your idea, and help you raise funds for your start-up.
The aim of the Fast-track weekend and 8-week course is to fully prepare you for the Launch and Pitching Event taking place on 7 October 2020 (date TBC), Kingston University ”Dragons Den" event where you will have the opportunity to pitch for up to £15k worth of seed investment.
Virtual weekend
Attendees of the virtual conference will learn lean start-up methodology to identify and test early customers, validate their business ideas and create a pitch deck that clearly outlines the business opportunity to potential investors. Confirmation and links to the event will be sent out once attendees are confirmed. Please make sure you register your interest to be considered. SPACES ARE LIMITED.
Fast track weekend
Attendees at the 3-day boot camp will use lean start-up methodology to identify and test early customers, validate their business ideas and create a pitch deck that clearly outlines the business opportunity to potential investors.
Day 1, Fri 29 May 2020 - Business Model
Finding the correct business model for your idea, with market analysis, revenue streams and break even.
Day 2, Sat 30 May 2020 - Sales & Marketing plan
Customer discovery, sales and marketing channels and strategies, create a marketing plan.
Day 3, Sun 31 May 2020 - Funding
Creation of pitch deck for your most likely funders.
What happens after the Fast-track weekend?
June - August 2020 – You will attend the 8-week Fast-track course to support to help you get investment ready.
7 October 2020 – Bright Ideas Launch (date TBC): you’ll have the chance to pitch your idea to potential investors and possibly win an investment of up to £15k.
IMPORTANT: Notes for students
Please note that this is a FREE event for students and graduates from Kingston University.
However you are required to pay a deposit of £30 (after 15 April) which will be refunded once you have attended the event. This is to ensure we know the numbers attending.
