The event's aims are to improve the impact we have on the environment
Each year, NASA runs a global Hackathon. Around 25,000 people around the world participate to develop ideas that can change the world!
We are inviting students from across Kingston University as well as problem solvers in the local community and beyond! The goal is to produce open-source solutions to challenges we currently face on Earth and in space. Space Apps inspires collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking, fosters interest in Earth and space science and exploration, and encourages the growth and diversity of the next generation of scientists, technologists, designers, and engineers.
SpaceApps will begin Saturday 2 October at 9:00 AM and end on Sunday, October 3 at about 3 pm. Here in Kingston, this Hackathon is student-led, by the Engineering Society. Teams will be formed on the day. You will be able to work at your own pace to explore the challenge and come up with ideas.
This is where your ideas can change the world! Anyone can participate in the event, it is completely free.
