Join us for a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing - an eye-opening film bringing together nine leading UK scientists and experts with the latest evidence and why it matters for things like:

The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times) with appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and a range of voices from across the UK.
After the film there will be a short open discussion about what it means for our community and what we can do locally connected to the local efforts to raise awareness about the health of the Hogsmill River.
We have invited the local Kingston Council Biodiversity Officer Elliot Newton, the artists FRAUD and others to join us following the briefing for a discussion about the film and how this intersects with efforts to designate part of the Hogsmill River Safe for swimming.
Co-hosted by Stanley Picker Gallery at Kingston University and Kingston Borough Council this is an opportunity for connecting with your neighbours and local council for an important discussion about our future.

We are hosting a screening of The Peoples Emergency Briefing as part of Climate Awareness Week and FRAUD's Stanley Picker Fellowship exhibition A Simultaneous Agreement. This new body of work by artist duo FRAUD uses sculpture, performance and spatial research to examine the material and political entanglements of the UK’s water crisis.
Join us on 12 June 2026 for ‘Standing for the River’ a performance taking place on the riverbank which contributes evidence towards a campaign to designate part of the Hogsmill as a legal bathing water.
This event is part of the Hogsmill Community Programme with FRAUD which is taking place at the Stanley Picker Gallery from 16 – 20 June 2026.
A week of events that forms the Bathing Request Public Consultation to support a DEFRA application to make part of the river safe for swimming.
