Are you interested in taking part in an exciting new four-week funded programme in the United States this summer?
We are delighted to offer our second-year students the opportunity to apply for a place on Future Skills Study Abroad: America.
Travel with a group of Kingston University students and staff to James Madison University in Virginia. Visit local industry and employers, attend talks and workshops led by experts in a range of sectors and learn about the trends that will shape the future of work.
This is the first Future Skills study abroad programme delivered by the University. It is designed to offer successful applicants the chance to build on their learnings through the Explore phase of Future Skills that all current second year students have been taking part in.
Funding: Students will receive funding towards accommodation through the Turing Scheme and may also be able to apply for funding towards travel costs.
Each week is structured around a key theme that links to the graduate attributes students have been developing through Explore:
Local context, global world
The future of work: AI and digital sphere
Sustainability, innovation and global citizenship
Intercultural learning and graduate skills
Your participation will be recognised under the Kingston Award and appear on your HEAR report. This is a unique opportunity for ambitious students wishing to work with staff and students from the USA on pressing issues relating to the future of work across the globe.
Second year, home students from all disciplines are welcome to apply by Sunday 9th March. All interested applicants should read the Information Sheet before applying. If you have any questions, please contact Elly Bavidge, Study Abroad International Learning Office, e.bavidge@kingston.ac.uk
