The tutorial will cover key components of open access (OA) publishing, including a breakdown of the different models, the expansion of open access into new areas such as academic monographs, and the benefits of publishing OA for you, academia, and society at large. We will look at how to comply with funder and REF policies, how to handle article processing charges, and how to avoid predatory publishers!  It is the counterpart to the discover session “The Research Repository and You : the REF and beyond”, which builds upon the general information presented here. The sessions are stand-alone, but you may find it beneficial to attend both.  This session will be of interest to all staff and research-level students.

*For online bookings, the registration closing date will be 3 working days prior to the session. You will be sent joining instructions before the session*.
