This summer Kingston University wants to keep the Kingston community connected, from new students to alumni and everyone in between. We will be hosting our first-ever series of virtual Book Club meetings, centred around the 2020 Big Read Airhead, written by Newsnight host Emily Maitlis. You'll get to see the chapters of Airhead through the eyes of KU experts in weekly virtual talks from 8 July to 16 September 2020 - a chance you won't want to miss.

The sixth Big Read Book Club talk will be focusing on the chapter titled Sheryl Sandberg: Good Grief (p.194).

This week, Dr Marcus Jackson will explore the ways in which we confront and cope with the hardest moments of our lives. He will focus on the Sheryl Sandberg chapter of Airhead which resulted from an interview about the recent death of her husband. Sandberg is the COO of Facebook and author of Option B: Facing Adversity, Building Resilience and Finding Joy.

Booking closes at 3pm the day prior to the event.
