Come and enjoy the launch of the new Poetry Hub at Kingston Library, an inspiring community initiative aimed at fostering a love for poetry and providing a creative outlet for residents.
The launch event will take place on Tuesday, July 16th, from 11am to 1pm, and will feature an official visit from the Deputy Mayor of Kingston, Councillor Elizabeth Park, who will deliver a speech on the importance of community and the rising popularity of poetry over the past decade.
Councillor Park’s speech will highlight the essential role community activities like the Poetry Hub play in bringing people together and nurturing local talent. The Deputy Mayor’s presence underscores the borough’s commitment to supporting the arts and fostering community spirit. The Poetry Hub is designed to be a welcoming space where individuals can gather every Tuesday morning from 11am to 1pm to participate in various poetry-related activities.
