What is an Academic Success Centre?

Each faculty offers its own Academic Success Centre (ASC), providing personalised, confidential support to help students excel in their studies. The ASCs specialise in:

- Planning and writing in an academic context

- Study skills (e.g. note-taking, time management, exam preparation)

- Research techniques

- Proper referencing

- Effectively using AI in university work

- Understanding and applying feedback

- Presentation skills

- Basic English language support*

- Assistance with other study-related concerns

Follow the KUextra booking link to find out eve more information, including the ASC Canvas module and Written Feedback.

*For more comprehensive English language assistance, please visit our English for Academic and Professional Development (EAPD) pages.

Please note that the ASCs do not offer proofreading services.

All students, regardless of subject or academic level, are welcome. Whether you’re achieving high marks or simply seeking improvement, no question is too small or too complex. At the ASCs, there's no judgment – our goal is to help you enhance your work. If we cannot assist with your specific concern, we’ll direct you to someone who can!
