Join students from around the world in Hiroshima (J) on this 10-day programme on global citizenship and peace.
International Network of Universities (INU) is delighted to share this incredible opportunity for Kingston University students to apply to spend 10 days at Hiroshima University in Japan, to attend the International Student Seminar for Global Citizenship and Peace, alongside students from 10 other universities from around the world.
The theme of this year is on ‘World Peace and Political Justice’. You can read more about this year’s theme on the INU website.
Kingston University students are invited to apply for a place to attend via the online application form.
As part of the application process, you will be asked to submit the following:
- A supporting statement of 500 words, explaining why you are interested in attending the International Student Seminar?
- A copy of your transcript with your grades to date
The deadline to apply is Sunday 10th March 2024. Applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application by mid-May 2024. Please note that places are limited.
Funding the trip
A small number of partial scholarships are available to contribute towards travel/living costs. We will inform successful applicants if they are eligible for those scholarships after they have been selected in May 2024. Priority for funding will be given to widening participation students.
Eligibility
Students must be fully enrolled Kingston University students, either in Level 5 (Year 2) of an Undergraduate degree or a postgraduate student.
