Today, we are visiting Quebec! In 2007 the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation ran a national poll asking viewers what they thought was the greatest Canadian invention of all time. The winner was insulin, but polling in the top ten was this dish Poutine. In 1957, in rural French-speaking Quebec it is believed that one man’s strange taste in food resulted in a national icon!
