This workshop will be hugely beneficial for those considering writing, designing or developing, aspiring entrepreneurs or those considering self-employment.



You will leave with a better understanding of the IP-protection process, how you can identify what IP you might own yourself and how to avoid the common pitfalls.

Speakers for the Day:

Intellectual property specialist Dr. Rachel Daniel, & Lana Yahya, Chartered UK Trade Mark Attorney will share practical steps to ensure your creations are legally protected.



Dr Rachel Daniel moved into IP after ten years in academia alongside time invested in hospitality management, bringing academic and commercial experience to her work. She holds a BSc in Biomedical Sciences as well a PhD in cancer biology and is now an intellectual property specialist for IP21.



Lana Yahya trained as an Irish and EU Trade Mark Attorney in a Tier 1 Trade Mark and Patent Attorney Law Firm. She joined ip21 in 2023 having previously gained several years of experience in trade mark practices in the UK and Ireland. She graduated from the University of York with an Honours degree in Law.
