Being out in nature has been proven to be beneficial to our mental health so give yourself a monthly boost and join this monthly walk around Gillespie Park in Islington. The walk is slow and gentle and we look at what has changed in the park since the previous month - taking in new growth, listening to the birds and breathing in the fresh air.

The walk is a lovely chance to chat to some other local people or simply enjoy the nature.

We meet at Islington Ecology Centre within Gillespie Park. The postcode is N5 1PH and we are a 3 minute walk from Arsenal tube station. The building is a blue wooden building.

The centre is fully wheelchair accessible and the walk we take can be wheelchair friendly with a day's notice.

We return to the centre at the end of the walk and have tea and biscuits together. Everything is free and there is no need to book a ticket, just turn up!

Dress for the weather and wear shoes that you don't mind getting a little muddy. We always stick to paths but they can be muddy if it's been wet.

If you have any questions about the walk, please email ecologycentre@islington.gov.uk
