This summer Kingston University will be hosting our first ever virtual Book Club. During these unique online events, you will be able to hear a wide variety of Kingston staff members talk about how what they do, study or teach relates to specific chapters from Airhead - our 2020 Big Read by Newsnight host Emily Maitlis. These talks will be held weekly from 8 July -16 September 2020. This is a great opportunity to connect our entire Kingston community, those arriving and those already here.

This week's talk will be focusing on the chapters titled Donald Trump and Miss USA (p.9); Two days with President Clinton (p.25); Anthony Scaramucci on the White House Lawn (p.303).

We will be considering US politics right now, and what can be learned from interviews Emily has carried out in the past. This is particularly timely as she will be reporting on the forthcoming US presidential election later on this year. Dr Pete Finn will dive into the fascinating context and consequences of the turbulent landscape that is contemporary American politics.

Booking closes at 3pm the day prior to the event.
